March 2016 was my VATS. It took almost eight months for the numbness on that side to completely disappear. Then along came Christmas and a family trip that would call for a connecting flight and a flight flight. I was worried about the trip but my surgeon was crackerjack so the worry was just general fear of the unknown and travel anxiety. My faith in the surgeon's skill was well-founded. No trouble at all with my lung. He meant it when he told me to just go back and live normally.
