Has anyone experienced pleurisy pain from a loculated pneumothorax occurrence?

History:
7 SP, age 12 -31
On 3rd on each lung, had 1 VATS - mechanical, 1 VATS mechanical, 1 VATS chemical (from failed mechanical, 5 years later).

These days I experience loculated pneumothorax from bleb ruptures (sometimes 3x per year, sometimes 0 per year). Most bring symptoms and pain consistent with a very tiny SP, which usually only last 3-4 days. My pulmonologist says with all my blebs, there's nothing that can be done to prevent these.

Going back to my original question. I recently had a loculated pnuemothorax on the upper part of my left lung that has a caused a significant amount of pain for over 14 days now. This is inconsistent with my other loculated occurrences. My pulmonologist says it's just normal pleurisy and the CT does not show any air in the pleural space. Symptoms are really not consistent with an SP; no shortness of breath or pressure, so that makes sense. The symptoms are more consistent with long lasting recovery pain.

Just wondering if anybody has had similar experiences?

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian just wondered what sort of pain you get? I keep getting a stabbing pain in my shoulder every now and again. Ive had bullectomy and pleurectomy on both lungs. xrays show no collapse but pain recurs every so often
